History

The firm was founded in 1997 under the name of Raghavji & Pillai by Rajes Raghavji and Deepak Pillai. Subsequent expansion of the firm's partnership resulted in a name change in 2001 to Rajes Hisham Pillai & Gopal.

The firm experienced rapid growth from 1999 onwards with the lifting of the South East Asian economic recession, the furious growth of the Internet and the rapid pace of technology adoption by the Malaysian financial and corporate sectors and today has grown from its initial number of three personnel to close to thirty personnel today, consisting of approximately eight lawyers and twenty two support staff.
